North Europe's Energy companies converge in Stavanger, Norway for ONS 2012

Energy companies in Europe are gathered at the Offshore North Sea (ONS) 2012 event currently taking place in Stavanger, Norway.  The Conference was declared officially open today by His Majesty, King Harald V.  Being the oil capital of Norway, the city of Stavanger is currently playing host to hundreds of oil and gas players spanning from , upstream, midstream, oilfield services to downstream companies.

 Professionals in the fields of oil and gas and energy come to Stavanger and find a meeting place where they can exchange ideas and experiences, and this in itself provides motivation and inspiration, 'said King Harald V.  He also touched on the importance of energy security,  provision of sustainable energy and the participation of different nationalities in the growth of Norway's oil and gas activities.
