The Commission for Energy Regulation (the CER) is the independent body responsible for regulating the safety of onshore and offshore petroleum exploration and extraction activities in Ireland under a new risk-based Petroleum Safety Framework.
As part of a newly established team to lead and operate this new safety regulatory system, the CER is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join its Safety Division to carry out the senior technical role of Petroleum Safe Framework Manager.
Job Description
The Petroleum Safety Framework Manager will be responsible for all aspects relating to the effective and efficient operation of the Petroleum Safety Framework. Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Petroleum Safety Framework Manager will be required to manage and direct the team inspectors /specialists who assess Safety Cases, monitor compliance and enforce the obligations under the Petroleum Safety Framework. The role would involve considerable liaison with peer groups and industry, at a national and international level.
