Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Last Friday our source gathered declared force majeure on it gas deliveries from Nigeria's LNG plant after an attempt was made to steal crude oil from one of its pipeline, specifically the 28-inch Bomu-Bonny trunk line which resulted in a fire outbreak.
Nigeria being Africa's top producer of oil, also ranked 7th for LNG exports in the world, loads tankers from the Bonny Island liquefaction plant in the Niger Delta for export to Europe, Asia and the United States.
NNPC, Total and Eni are the other stakeholders in the Nigeria LNG with 49%, 15% and 10.4% respectively.
