Sanctions placed by the western countries on Iran haven't worked and probably never will.
The sanctions that were intended to block oil sales and banking transactions have non the less had little or no impact. United Nations even pointed out some days back that Iran is leaping forward with its atomic-weapons program, while denying it's underway.
A source has it that late last week, leaders of 120 nations met in Tehran for the nonaligned nations' conference. At this conference they voted to endorse Iran's nuclear program, many of the states that voted are also ignoring U.N. sanction and helping Iran.
Iran which is one of the most corrupt states on the planet, even with all the sanctions placed on it, wealth among people who have government contract or government business has tremendously increased.
Most Iranians aren't really able to react because they are preoccupied with food prices and inflation.
Which is good for the regime as they are able to use the blame on Americans as smoke screen.
