BP is set to sell its 18% non-operated in the Draugen field in the Norwegian sea for $240 million to Royal Dutch Shell, while it continues operating its other 11 licenses of which four are currently in production in Norway.
Completion of this deal is anticipated by end of the year, however Net BP production from Draugen which is been operated by shell averages 6,000 barrels per day.
Results last month however show BP raised $1.9 billion from disposals during Q2, and $3.2 billion during the first half, since the start of 2010, BP announced disposals of $33 billion and aimed to raise $38 billion come end of 2013, while its latest sheet carried assets held for resale at $9 billion.
