U.K's Bowleven has stated that production from its Etinde oil project in Cameroon is expected to start in 2015.

The production phase of the project will start next year, stated the chairman of the company's Cameroon unit, EurOil.

Stating that guidance for its Etinde project offshore Cameroon has not changed from the previously stated date of 2015.

Being the operator of Etinde permit area, it holds a 75% stake through wholly owned local unit EurOil.

Cameroon is one of the sub-Saharan Africa's oldest oil producers, but it still struggles to maintain output levels.
